 The Association of Surfing Lawyers is proud to announce our Eighth Annual Overseas MCLE Conference - A Lover's Getaway to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, between Friday, October 8th, 2010 to Tuesday, October 12th, 2010. We are staying at the Cabo Surf Hotel which is right in front of a fun spot called "Old Man's." There are other breaks within paddling distance to spread the crowd out (e.g., the Rock, Middles, and Zippers). Swell permitting, the adventurous types can motor out to the point breaks of the East Cape. October is a great month for surf, with waves in the 4-6ft range with some bigger days. And by this time the weather is cooling off its late-summer highs. Wind conditions are normally light and variable in the morning and the prevailing afternoon sea breezes are almost offshore. Tide and wind is not such a factor in Cabo, like it is in Central America. There is a restaurant, spa, pool, and boards for rent, so this is a great trip to bring your kids, spouse or significant other. Be aware that food is not included, so you will have to make use of the hotel's restaurant or get a room with cooking facilities. El Presidente will be coordinating the MCLE presentation, so he hereby calls on you to serve your club by volunteering an hour of your time during the trip to give an MCLE lecture on the issue of your choice.
