 Please join the Association of Surfing Lawyers at Marix Tex Mex in Santa Monica on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. for a very special book signing celebrating the release of award-winning San Francisco journalist and surfer, Jaimal Yogis’s, new book, Saltwater Buddha. Saltwater Buddha recounts a surfer's quest to find Zen on the sea, a book that's been praised by pro surfers and surf mags around the world, as well as news outlets like The Huffington Post, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Monterey Herald, and lots of others. Fed up with suburban teenage life, Jaimal ran off to Hawaii with little more than a copy of Hermann Hesse's Siddhartha and enough cash for a surfboard. His journey is a coming-of-age saga that takes him from tropical reefs to Zen monasteries to the icy New York shore. Equal parts spiritual memoir and surfer's tale, this is a chronicle of finding meditative focus in the barrel of a wave and eternal truth in the great salty blue.
