 The Association of Surfing Lawyers is proud to present a special holiday event on December 13, 2008 with Shaun Tomson, Peter Townend, and Ian Cairns at Marix Tex Mex in Santa Monica.   

 

 Shaun will be selling copies of his new book, Bustin’ Down the Door: The Surf Revolution of ‘75, and copies of the DVD “Bustin’ Down the Door,” a 2008 documentary film narrated by Edward Norton chronicling the rise of professional surfing in the early 70's.  

 

 

 Both the book and movie feature Shaun, Peter, and Ian, who arrived on the North Shore with little more than their surfboards and their love of surfing. With courage, skill and raw ambition, they not only set a new standard for wave riding, but also succeeded in transforming surfing from a casual lifestyle to into a professional sport. 

 

 Chris Mauro, author, global editor at Surfing Magazine, and professional surfer will moderate a Q&A.
